Looking for advice to find good gopher fields within 2 hrs of Edmonton

What would be your advice to connecting with farmers and rural land owners within 2 hrs of Edmonton for myself and kids to shoot a few gophers? just drive around and knock on a few doors, or is there any county offices to call? any info would be appreciated, pic for attention
