Nobody's been too big of a jerk about it so far; mostly just curious "hey man, aren't bullpups illegal" comments, with a few know-it-all type smug remarks that are easily corrected with a little friendly information.

In theory the RCMP could go after someone found doing the above (getting and American to meet them at the border) - as well as it is an illegal import -- however CFC in its boundign incompetance is just happy to have someone asking you to register a gun.

I guess it's only moot if the police in Canada don't want to prosecute. As counseling is illegal in Canada whether the offence happens here, or if the illegal act is done in another country that would otherwise be illegal here.
