Has anyone got one, or know where I can get one of these...? Is a "first generation" Knights RAS for an 870. I have a Norc HP9 and the saddle style 870 mounts don't quite fit (the Norc receiver is a little bit "taller" or "higher" than a real 870) and the trigger group mounting holes on the saddles don't come down far enough...

It's just the RAS that I'm looking for... I can't quite see the part number in this image but this is the one...

Thanks in advance for any info / leads...

KAC P/N 25129
Not sure who has them because it is ITAR controlled product. There is a thread trying to get KAC products into canada with all the legal paperwork. Contact member KevinB. He will tell you if its possible.

They haven't producted those for years. At one point they did stop production on them. Now there is a new style. Just mount a rail on it. It makes a better mounting point for optics.

Thanks Guys...

CNADN: Thanks for the P/N... I'll do a quick Google and see what I can find.

Rebel: I hear ya'... a drilled / tapped rail would be lower (=better cheek-weld) but I like that this RAS would let me mount the dot a lot further forward...

Thanks again guys... this is good info and well considered input...!

Dave.

For the price you will pay for KAC products (not bashing them in any way) why not look at the S&J hardware rail adaper system?

Damn, the part number is for the new style, sorry.

I have two of these and they aren't the best method of mounting optics. I have them for the look cool factor. Your best bet is to get a Badger rail. Drill and tap it, then silver soldering it on. The KAC tend to come lose from the recoil. Plus you only have one screw holding it to the barrel band.

Thanks guys:p

Recoil was the big issue with the kac mounts from all the testing i have done and allso others have done.
KAC make the best stuff, if they stoped making it i would say its because the consept don,t work.
Mesa tactical has a stock adaptor with a short rail but the front of the rail attaches to nothing, so not the best idea.
The cqb stock adaptor we make has a long rail and clmaps to the barrle with a machined clamp.
If your not a fan of the AR15 style stock adaptors you can just drill and top of your gun and install the rail.
