what are your opinions on the most practical over under combo Rifle?

Looking to shoot Vancouver Island deer, black bear, Geese, grouse, pheasants or any small game.

I have an over under in 308 over 12g.

The most versatile hunting gun I could find.

Anything from a 180gr 308, to a slug, buck shot and even target loads.

There’s nothing this gun can’t kill. It took me 2 years to locate one. But it was worth the wait

Baikal IZH-94 12 gauge (3")/.308 Win.
The rifle barrel is quite accurate.
At 8 lbs just for the gun it's a bit on the heavy side but I've taken lots of upland birds with it and 2 whitetails so I'm not complaining.

I have a Savage 2400 in 12ga/308 they are great guns and were made in Finnland and were the fore runners of the valmet 412s.I also have krieghoff 22mag adapter and a savage 410 tenner for it making it a very versatile gun

If I was in the market for a combination gun I'd be looking for something European in flavour, since that's where they originate. I think something in 16ga over a 6.5x54/6.5x55/7x57R would be just about perfect to me. I don't know why you would particularly want a 12 over a 16 for the jobs we're looking to do with the rifle and a 308 or 30-06, as much as I like them on their own, just doesn't feel right in such a gun. Of course, a drilling in 16/16/7x57R or 16/16/9.2x74 wouldn't offend me either.

Bastards...now I have to go surf the TradeEx site.
