I am trying to see if and how many people would be interested in a 20 round magazine for their Gevarm rifle? I have a gunsmith that has the tooling for these mags. It is all based off the factory 20 rnd he has. I bought one and it is in transit(Canada Post) and should be here this week. I`ll post pics and test it in my E-1.
This gunsmith has two E-1`s that all mags are test fit and fired. These mags are suppose to look exactly like the originals. I paid dearly for the one being sent to me, but if I have any interest in them, it would come down alot. I paid roughly $80 less than what you would pay for a factory original IF you found one.
If I find 5 people wanting one, it would be 10% off. If I find 10 or more people wanting one, it would be 25% off. These are made right here in Canada by a long time gunsmith.
It was roughly a 2 week turn around time for the one I had made. Stay tuned, I`ll post pics up as soon as I receive it!!! Darcy

I'd be interested but how much money are we talking here? Factory originals can still be found if you look around.
I've seen some pretty crazy asking prices attached to factory 20 rounders.
It's gotten to the point where you may as well buy the rifle and magazine rather than just the magazine alone.

The cost will all depend on how many people I can get lined up. Right at the moment, the cost per one is $150. If I get 5 sold, the cost would be $135. If I get 10 sold, the cost would be: $112.50 . These are all Canadian prices and there is roughly a $12 shipping fee through Canada Post.
We know of the other States company, but they haven`t made them in a long long time and only produce the 15 rnd mags.
I just finished paying $130 with shipping for a factory original 8 shot mag.

I'm interested, but I know how finicky they can be. I purchased one of the 15 rounders from WGPs, I can't say that it ever really worked flawlessly and quality wise, seemed decent. Is there a guarantee with this product?

I know the WGP ones, they inform buyer that the mag might need to be fitted to rifle by gunsmith. These ones are built by a gunsmith and they have a factory original Gevarm 20 rnd mag to go by and they have 2 Gevarm E-1 rifles that they test fit and fire from. The one I had made, I was told worked flawlessly in one and needed to be tweaked in the other rifle. They tweaked the mag and now it works flawlessly in both. I`ll know more as soon as I receive it and try it in mine. I`ll try 4 kinds of ammo also to make sure.
I`ll take tons of pics and maybe a video if I can track down a video camera. My camera only takes 15-20 seconds of video.

My buddy has an 8rd and 15rd mag from WGP. They both work fine in his Gevarm. The problem is that they haven't had any in stock for a long time and they don't know when they are getting more.

Bob Harvich by chance?

It showed up today! I was amazed that it is just like the factory 20 shot Magazine! I ended up needing to send it back to be tweaked. It was too tight in my mag well. I`m surprised that a gun factory could produce so many of the exact same model guns and each is different in its own way. He tested fitted this magazine in 2 different E-1 gevarms and they fit perfect and shot great.
I`ll let you all know how this pans out.

I might be interested in that... how many people do you have signed up so far?
I have a couple so far, one guy wants one and the other wants a couple if I can get 10 or more the price is 25% off. I wish these guns were all the same, it seems like each one had a different mag well and would need to be fitted. They are so close though, that it won`t need much fitting. Lets see how this one pans out.

I've got 2 E1's that interchange 20 round mags between guns. Interestingly enough the 20 rounders are not supposed to work in the A-3 and A-6 according to some owners. All of my 20 round mags function flawlessly in both the A-3 and A-6 models.

Yeah, not always the case. I had a loser in a small hic village with an E-1 and two 20 shot mags. He paid $100 for the package 30 some years ago. One mag wouldn`t feed cause it was bent. The other mag he bought at some gunshow in Edmonton for $150.
He asks me what I`m willing to give him. I offered him two offers:
1- A brand new, still in the box Ruger 10/22
2- A cash offer of $240.

He was just a loser trying to see what his gun was maybe worth, cause he kept stalling and finally said: "My kids seen what the mags are worth on the internet, I decided not to sell".
He was all pissy on the phone. I told him I never tried to steal his gun. That one mag is no good and worth nothing and that I gave him two very respectable offers. This guy couldn`t even answer e-mails in a respectable time frame he was too busy. If he thinks his gun was worth way more, list it....but he had better be prepared to have door kickers, no shows, etc and answer a ton of e-mails. This guy could never do that....so I think he missed out. The stock needed to be redone( it was gouged up from being behind the seat of his truck), there was no blueing left on the barrel, the black crinkle finish action had more scratches then the crinkle paint.. Yeah...lmao...and he thinks it is worth over $500 cause the internet says so.....OK.

LOL.It was Abe Lincoln who said "You cant believe a single thing you read on the internet."
That guy should have taken the deal....10/22's are getting harder to find than are 20 round Gevarm mags!

No luck. Fricken mag wouldn`t work. Guy told me to send it back to him...on my shipping dime and he would re vamp it so it would work. I get the call today, his excuse: His gunsmith won`t retool and its too expensive.
Sorry guys, I wouldn`t deal with this nimrod again and I sure as heck wouldn`t want you guys to go through this. I`ll spend an extra $20-$50 on top of his price and find someone with a factory original.
I even mentioned to him that I would give him the dimensions of my mag well since my 8 shot was a bit sloppy in the mag well. Maybe that 20 shot only needed to be tweaked. He didn`t want anything of it.
"Gunrunner100" mentioned his name on this topic, you were correct.
