Hello

Looking to build an ultra light AR and would like an upper with no forward assist.

Does any one know of a Canadian retailer that has these?

Lots of US vendors but I want to buy Canadian :d

Any insight on ultra light builds would also be appreciated as this will be my first AR build.
 
Saskatoon Gun Works brought some in with their last shipment from Aero Arms, but demand greatly outstripped supply and they were all spoken for before they were unpacked. Hopefully there will be some more on the next order.
 
How about a Canadian manufacturer? I have an NEA upper with no forward assist that I built into a very heavy, long (26") barrel NRA/Bullseye type target rifle about 3 years ago. Give them a call.

Not a fan of the one at CTCS. Especially when Rainier has a true slickside, not one where the hump has been milled off.

I stopped into Saskatoon Gunworks for one of the slickside Aero uppers only to find out that they were all spoken for immediately. He had only ordered five as no one seemed to be expressing interest in them. He assured me that his next order will have a lot more of them available. So I'll patiently wait for his next order to show up, likely won't be until the end of the year though.

Aero/Ballistic Advantage make a couple of pencil profile barrels that are hard to beat for the price. If you're interested give Saskatoon a call and place an order for one. AFAIK they aren't placing orders for the pencils but they will order one for indivyou if you want one. Same goes to anyone looking for lightweights, let them know because currently they don't think there is a demand.
 
American Spirit Arms side charging uppers have no forward assist, if you're interested in a side charger at all. Western metal has em.
