Looking for Ban-proof AR replacement Suggestions

Mine will arrive in the mail tomorrow. Looks like I got the last one in Canada this time around. I'm not happy about why I bought it but I'm looking forward to putting it through it's paces. I know where to get some red dots for this one, no added cost...

I just got an e-mail that Tenda has them back in stock in tan stock for $800. Might check it out. I feel the same as you, not too happy about why I have to buy it lol...more of a replacement so I can use mu COVID-induced panic bought .223 rem that otherwise is useless.

The Liberals have clearly indicated in the Regulatory Analysis section of the Ban Order-in-Council that they will ban additional firearms that licensed owners buy as alternatives to newly-banned guns.

They call it a "market displacement" in policy-doublespeak, but the intent is quite clear!

This is the very definition of bad faith on their part.

There's no reasoning with a carbon unit that passes legislation of OICs that there is intention that they cannot be overturned in parliament.

This is extremely arrogant.

I think the American Ruger Ranch rifle looks pretty nice for an entry-level bolt-gun, and the reviews seem to be mostly positive. I am in the process of renewing my expired license (not holding my breath--maybe 2021 sometime?), but I was thinking one in 300 BLK or 7.62x39 would be fun plinker and be an adequate hunting rifle if the need arose.

Not ban-proof, especially one that takes "tactical AR-style banana magazines", but by the time it gets the hammer all the "military-grade assault ammunition" will have already been banned (.223/5.56, .308/7.62, 9x19mm, .338 Lapua, 7.62x39, etc) so you won't have to worry about any leftover ammo for it!

For me it's gonna be a Ruger Gunsite scout. Still deciding between .223 and .308. Leaning more towards .308. Iron backup sights with a red dot scope.

Rather than looking for a 'ban proof' option, invest those $$$'s in the court cases being filed...

Our reality is the Shooting Sports are dying a death of a 1000 paper cuts.

The end goal is complete public disarmament & if we don't stand together, we will surely hang separately.

In medieval Japan, commoners were forbidden to own weapons, so a martial arts system was devised, based on innocuous objects that appeared to be ban-proof. One example was a grain-threshing flail, consisting of 2 sticks joined by a cord. Used as a weapon, it was called a nunchuk. Fast-forward to 20th century Canada. The Canadian government was not fooled. It knew that Canadians had to be more rigidly controlled than medieval Japanese serfs, so it banned threshing flails. In fact, a cop once complained to me that he had arrested a kid for having ONE stick, with a piece of string attached. To him, it was obviously half of a nunchuk, but the judge had thrown the case out. I had a hard time keeping a straight face.

The point is that , in Canada, nothing is ban-proof, including pea-shooters (look up Yaqua blow-gun)

btw, Weren't bagpipes once banned as a weapon of war, or is that just folklore?
