As title states I'm looking for some Browning solution.
I've checked all shops I can think of ....nobody stocks it
I have a vintage English muzzleloader SXS and barrels
Need to have patterns re etched and re browned....
Was also told rust bluing solution would give gd results
If carded back and polished...then laquered...
Any help would be great...
Patterns are visible but barrels mostly greyed currently...

Plus 1 for Laurel Mtn. Forge. I have used it several times and have just finished using it on another project. LMF is a very aggressive browning solution and can produce a deep brown. Deactivation after browning with a base such as baking soda or ammonia is necessary but not complicated. It is also possible to make good home made browning solutions. An internet search would likely bring up instructions.
The same product and process is used for rust bluing. Just boil the parts in water after carding.
