Looking for Clays Powder.

I didn't realize I was on my last can of Clays - until I decided to load some rounds this morning... I used to buy Clays from LeBaron - but they're having a hard time getting it these days.

Can anyone recommend a source? I'm in the GTA area, and already checked LeBaron, BassPro, and Rouge River Arms, but maybe someone in Canada still has some?

We are new to reloading. Actually a friend does it for us. He uses green dot but he just started doing 9mm for me. Being a woman, he tried to keep the loads light for me. 3.8 grains of green dot seem to be fine. My 9mm's all cycle fine with it, but we are just about out of powder. Clays was recommended to us along with titegroup and bullseye. Can you tell me anything about Clays. Anything would help. I spoke to the manager at our Canadian Tire because they carry Hodgdon powders so he is looking into getting Clays for us. I don't know if your Canadian Tire has a pro shop, but you should ask if they can get it. Hodgdon powders are on their web site but I don't know why they don't carry it since it is the cleanest burning, most consistent 12 ga. powder available today. It's suppose to be excellent in pistols. Thanks. Kristine.

The Clays powder was recommended by CeeZer - he's been using it for years in 9mm minor loads. That was over a year ago - I started using Clays & haven't looked back, it was perfect IMO. The felt recoil is very light, and the powder is clean-burning. Some people don't like the long-range accuracy they get with it, but I didn't see a difference comparing it to VihtaVuori N320. In fact, I think Clays is a poor-man's replacement for N320 - which is also impossible to get these days.

I was using Titegroup before switching to N320, and still have a couple of pounds left, but I'd really hate to start using it again in 9mm loads: too dirty for minor loads (IMHO, of course: you'll find many people that like it). I mainly keep the TG for my .40S&W reloads.

AFAIK my Canadian Tire doesn't sell ammo or reloading components.

Oh, sorry about that. I thought all Canadian Tire sold at least rifle ammo and powder. Our little CTC in Welland Ont, does, as well as a selection of rifles and handgun ammo. Just bought 7 boxes of 9mm in last 2 weeks. Thanks for the info. Sorry I couldn't offer more help.
 
Hummason's show Clays for $23 for a 14 oz can and $140 for an 8 pounder. Not right in the GTA but pretty close and only open on weekdays.
