looking for crown land near GTA

you'd need to go north past muskoka or east around Bancroft to find any crown
You could target shoot on, there maybe places closer, but it would not be good posting
Locations within an hour from Toronto that are legal to target shoot on in a open forum,
As the land would be flooded with people from Toronto whom would ruin the place.

I have seen it happen already. I let something slip awhile ago due to my ignorance and the next
Day members of this forum were there target shooting with absolutely no backstop, towards houses,
Dispite signs the mnr had posted forbidding target shooting. I told them where it was actually allowed,
they ignored me and continued.

If you target shooting, stay at silverdale, if you want to hunt pm me and I will help you with that,
But none of the places I would give you will allow target shooting.

Its such a shame the things people do to an area that they enjoy. I know the place your talking about. It kept getting worse and worse. I said to my brother the last time we were there, this place is gonna get shut down! Sure enough next time I went, signs posted everywhere. I shoot at a spot around my house now, every time I go I bring a couple of big plastic garbage bags and fill them. The TV,s and Toilets don't fit, I will have to get those when I can drive in...which u aren't supposed to do either. Ive seen guys shoot at pictures in tress with 7mm rem, all I can do is tell them its a bad idea, some will oblidge and stop others just keep shooting. These people don't understand they are just giving shooters a bad name and ruining it for themselves and others. Wake the Fu*% up guys!!

I wondered what happened, Why there has been so much traffic.... everytime i go there now i bring my trailer and remove multiple bags of garbage...last time I even removed a ####IN couch...A Couch? come on.....we need to learn from our mistakes and stop telling random people on the internet about theses spots. Just because they want to go hunting tis weekend and you show them the spots dosent mean they cant find there way back...

What happens when they decide to come back next weekend with a couch and some buddies and some beer to target shoot at that sweet hunting spot that guy on CGN showed me, Cuz I dont give a #### about him cuz he is an annonimus person on the internet....

Dont get me wrong Im all for people using public lands but these ignorant retards are going to get them shutdown. The only way I show people these spots is when they have aproached me looking for hunting lands, demonstrate that they "know which way is up" and are into conserving these paces like i am...

Oh and If someone is to lazy to do the leg work and google "crown land in ontario" themselves and do their own due diligence to make sure their ass is covered is not someone i really want on my team....
 
signs were posted before my slipup, me and wife went there for the first time,
Saw signs, walked out without shooting, called co, had a nice chat etc

Even hunting spots, people will lie like they going to come out with ya,
Just to find out where then ever talk to you again.

Trust noone.
