Looking for feedback on Sellier and Bellot 9mm ammunition

I love S&B. It's the only one I will use. Talking about 9mm

One time I took a bunch of Blazer, S&B, and American Eagle 9mm to the range. Took turns firing at a paper target at 10 yards. The S&B groups were far tighter than the AE or Blazer. It wasn't a small effect. Literally half the size group. or better.

Since then I've never used anything but S&B. I stock up on it whenever it's on sale. Where did you see the sale??

Some people have said that the S&B primers are a bit stiffer and require a more forceful hammer hit to fire, but I've never had failures to fire, so I don't think it's an issue in practical use, at least not in my handgun.

I like it too. From memory I think it's the ammo CZ uses to test their guns before sending them out. Also looks shinier...and I like shiny things. If it was the same price as Blazer or cheaper I'd buy it in a heartbeat

Do any of you guys that like it reload it? I've heard it is a royal PITA to reload

The brass will load but I avoid it because the pockets can be a little tight and the brass a little thick. There's so much 9mm brass available to me that I choose not to load them.

I have reloaded a lot of S&B without incident. But some has more recently turned up with flash holes that seem to be on the small side.

S&B has a new factory in the United States, hence the plentiful amount of it available.
Their factory 9mm ammo is really good stuff. Where they have an edge is on price vs Win /Fed /RP /CCI, but Im not expecting that to last.

If I wasn't reloading, it would be a priority. However the downside seems to be their european carryover spec of exceptionally tight primer pockets in their 9mm cases. Don't get me wrong, S&B brass is very good quality, but after crunching many SPP's while trying to reload in their 9mm brass, they get consigned to the recycle bin. Funny thing though is that their 45acp seems okay. ??????

I ran through about 2000 rounds of 124 gr. Brass case S&B last year and was very happy with it. It worked perfectly out of all my 9mm’s, and that in itself is rare; I have quite a few 9mm’s. I’ve reloaded it, but as others have said the primer pockets usually need a little reaming; they’re a bit snug. It’s good ammo, reputable company...if you can get it for the same money or less than Blazer, it’s a no-brainer. I had a couple 5 gal pails of brass given to me a while ago, and spent much of last winter cleaning and reloading a LOT of 9mm. There are several makes of brass that I sort out and set aside as “ Just in case I need it” brass; S&B is never held back from loading; it is a bit thicker I think, but loads OK other than some tight squeezes with some primers.

I use Blazer Brass 124 grains mostly because of cost and reliability.

My range had a dozen boxes of Sellier & Bellot for real cheap so I gave them a try.

They were just as reliable as the Blazer and if I was presented with the option to buy more S&B, I would get them in a heartbeat.

And on the plus side, the boxes are more compact than the Blazer, so you can fit more in the range bag.
