i'm guessing you might get more answers by asking for a "gunsmith" I think armourers make these:

Search for Maxime Loiselle (sorry, i don't have his coordinate)

By the way, in french, an "armurier" is the guy who can work on "armure" (armor) or "arme" (weapon)!

je sais, mais ça adonne qu'en anglais c'est pas ça...

if you don't mind shipping your gun check out Gunnar at Armco (do a search on the forum) he seems to be the reference around when it comes to 1911s
or call Frank at CRAFM he will probably be able to point you in the right direction

ya i send all my stuff to gunnar but was looking for some thing a little closer to home ,and i have had a couple of bad experiances with express post latly .

Ruger's Canadian depot is in Sainte Martine not far from Montreal. It's a business called Location Snap Shots. They have a qualified 'armorer,' a very legitimate term, there. Don't know how good, but very pleasant on the phone. Now that would be an interesting discussion, the differences between terms like 'gunsmith,' 'pistolsmith,' armorer etc. I believe organizations like the SAS etc. have their own armorers....

I know because I have been dealing with them about my 'blown-up' GP 100.

Don't know if Paul Barette is still doing jobs on pistols, he did one for me in the 90s.

Anyone knows if he's still in the business?
