I would like some suggestions for a good gunsmith to do some work to my rifle in the saskatchewan/alberta area. I have a Browning A-bolt M-1000 eclipse stainless (.300 wsm) and it is very heavy with its large wood stock. I would like it to be more carry-friendly so I want to find an after market stock for it and get it bedded if it's possible (either a manners or mcmillan). I would like the stock to be custom painted. I would also like to get a custom muzzle brake put on it and a custom trigger (sugestions for my a-bolt??). One other thing I am not sure is possible or not, this rifle comes with a swing-out detachable magazine, with the custom stock is it possible to get a magazine well that allows for a tactical style magazine removal rather than a swing out application? If anyone knows of a great place to get this work done that would be great, thanks.

I used Dennis Sorensen. 'GunTech' here on the CGN forums. Great guy. Easy to deal with. Affordable. Does a good job. He's fair and honest. He got my job done super fast. Not sure if he does stock painting and the like though.

I don't know about that, basically I am doing everything I would do to a new rifle except I already have a barrel and action. It would be more expensive to start from scratch I would think?
