Newbie to the site and looking for anyone who may have info on the best buy for ammo for my 9mm, 115grain full metal jacket. Don't mind buying in bulk. Currently, best price in Nova Scotia is $14.98 + 15% tax for 50rd.
Appreciate any help, and be gentle.
Also, does anyone own a Sigma 9 9mm. Appreciate any feedback.
Thanks

A lot of site sponsors at the top of the page. Some ship large ammo purchases for free as well. Definitely worth browsing through, you might need to sign up for another credit card like the rest of us. Somedays I swear VISA must sponsor this place...

Where is Lebarons Handy, I have never heard of it. If you have a number for them I would greatly appreciate it. Have inquired throughout Canada and the States. I have heard if you are a member of the AMA you can buy ammo there for a reasonable price, but can't get in touch with them until Saturday afternoon. Look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Jan

a lebarons close by would be your best bet. i picked up 50 round boxes of 115gr for 12 bucks a pop. They were sold out of the 100 rnd value boxes of winchester.

don't know if u got a lebarons handy . it was 23.85 for 100 rds of Winchester.

I would be interested in getting their number to see if they ship to Upper Sackville, Nova Scotia, and also to see if it would be even cheaper to buy a 1000 rounds or more. Just looking for any break I can get. Thanks for your help!

pretty sure they don't ship, but here are the locations/numbers., http://www.lebaron.ca/english/thestores.htm

have you thought about reloading and casting? pending the price of your lead and ignoring the start up costs a box of 9mm cost me (ignoring labour) $3 per box of 50 with cast bullets (.55cents/lb for lead) and $6.10 using berry's plated bullets that i got an amazing deal on (4500 for $400)

start up costs i figure around $1000 give or take pending your choices for equipment.

Thanks for the info, I did call them on Saturday to get info on shipping, etc, but have to call back on Monday to see if it would be worthwhile and yes they do ship, but it all depends on cost. Either way I am looking to buy in bulk this time around and to have some quality ammo just in case I do get into reloading. The cost in Nova Scotia would be around $9 from what I have found out so far. But I will still look into all options. There is one other resource here in Dartmouth that I have to inquire about their prices, but having a hard time getting a hold of them.
Thanks for all your help!

Hey

The best value I've found is through Peter Eliot. He sells reloads out of his basement for $12 tax in for 50 rounds. (if you bring him spent brass) I've purchased over a thousand over the last couple years and have never had a single issue with any of his rounds. The name of his company is Ballistic Services, located in Pine Grove NS. It's quite a convenient stop along the way to the Musquodoboit Valley range. Hope this helps

Thanks for that info. Not having any luck with Lebaron's in Quebec, but did not know Peter did reloading. Would definitely be interested in that. I hope to see Lindsay on the way to the range some time soon, but have to get some quality ammo for reloading, currently have used American Eagle and wasn't overly impressed and the price on that brand has gone up to $25. So looking to get some Winchester ammo at Hnatiuks and they said they will sell it to me for $14. for a 50 round if buying in bulk (approx. 1000-2000 rounds) May as well have it instead of going through all this again. I'm at that range also. If you ever need a buddy, let me know, I have a few other friends that go there also. What type of gun do you have?
Thanks again for all the info!

Custom reloading is good to deal with, high shipping cost (comes from bc) but he did give me a price break to off set the cost of the shipping, just ordered 2500 rounds from them, worked out to be 14 and change per box of 50 tax and shipping in.

There are several Sponsors on this site that sell and ship bulk ammo at good prices. Canada ammo for one and they shipp free over a certain price point($200.00 i think). Also the ammo source has great prices on bulk ammo and they will ship across Canada. They have many types of manufactured ammo, and sell wolfs reloads in both lead and Jacketed.
