Looking for good quality clamping scope mount for my AR?

Tough to find LaRue up here.

According to Mark LaRue back in 2007.
WE WON'T SHIP TO CANADIAN CIVILIANS !!! ---- If anyone has anything pertinent to this document that invalidates it...then I'm all ears. Otherwise, we don't ship to Canadian civvies, sorry. The military is another story, not for discussion here.

Rampart is supposedly trying to be the official LaRue dealer in Canada, when that happens is anyone's guess.

I guess LARUE is not interested in sales, weird how some companies are like that...

Guess we're not a big enough market for them to justify registering with ITAR? I believe scope mounts and accessories aren't ITAR controlled but since they also make rifles and parts, I guess Mr.LaRue just did a full blanket policy of not exporting anything internationally. Hopefully Rampart comes through 'cause LaRue makes some cool sh!t. :)

My brother in the US tried ordering me a LaRue mount as a present. Gave his info, his US Visa#, his US address, etc.... but since he knows as much about firearms and firearm parts as the average voter, he gave them MY phone number in Canada to call if they had any questions. Well, I get a call from a nice lady in Texas telling me that since the phone number is Canadian, they'll assume the mount is for export and they won't ship it. That's how protective they are.

Didn't bother arguing with her. Asked my brother to order me a GG&G FLT instead. Didn't want my rail mangled by the LaRue anyways

PEPR is meh.... Made in China for $115. Get the same thing for $30 direct from China. ARMS makes a few decent mounts....

Tried the 3 mounts, ADM, Larue and BOBRO,my vote goes to Bobro
Bobro- return zero, will not mar your upper, but a little beefy
Larue- return to zero, light weight , slightly will mar your upper if your the person who likes to take off/on.
ADM- not so much on the RETURN TO ZERO side, light weight and will not mar you upper.
these are my own personnal experience with these mounts, others might have differrent,
