Can anyone advise of a gunsmith or business that does de-activations?

Much as i hate to do so I have a couple that need to be "fixed".
Thanks, 44Bore.

Not to be that guy, but is there a reason to do it? Unless you are looking to bequeath them to an heir I would rather chance it with the Cons potentially forming government in the next few years before I pulled the trigger on that

If you decide to go ahead with this, make sure that the gunsmith is really good. Too many buzzbox hack jobs by ignorant butchers.

Maybe run an ad in the 12.X forums for a parts swap with someone looking for better than they have, before welding it shut.

If it's going to be welded anyways, it may as well be welded with the shartiest parts that you can gather together, rather than any actual good ones.

The deactivation specs now include welding the barrel closed with a rod, welding the bolt shut _and_ welding the magazine in place. I don't know about anyone else, but it hurts me to see something castrated so thoroughly. I would not enjoy hanging one like it on my wall, a daily reminder... (I could say worse, but I'm biting my tongue) Would rather sell it out of the country if I couldn't keep them live.
