Hey guys I'm looking for opinions on a laminate stock semi auto heavy barrel .22.
So far I've seen the Remington 597 lss and the Ruger 10/22 target. Any other options and any personal experience with either?
Thanks in advance
Marlin 7000~I've seen these come-up for sale in the EE a few times, they're a heavy-barrel 795...and I'd love to have one. Don't think Marlin makes them anymore.
One of the best, not made anymore, but if you're patient and quick to react, one comes up time to time in the EE. I have a 7000 and 7000T and they are the most accurate .22's I own. Fairly inexpensive, plastic stock, get a nifty new on from Boyd's and you have a tack driver.
it was pretty awesome i think its taken the cake for my favorite firearm. (more because of price of rounds). Ive put about 500 rounds through it. and installed a cheap leapers scope and rings that was in my left over spare parts box. it was shooting about 1 to 1.5 inch groupings consistently with little effort. at 100 yds. im impressed and it doesnt hurt the wallet like my bushmaster AR or rem 700. but i did get a couple jams with the banana hi cap mag. the factory mag is good enough for me.
