I recently bought a lot of “unknown 9mm pistol magazines” in an online auction because I was pretty sure I recognized a few pre-B CZ-75 mags in the batch. I was correct (score!), and was also able to make use of another type. All that’s left is these 3 guys, which have me scratching my head as to identity.

They do appear to hold 9mm cartridges, and all look to be the same model, the bumper basepad on one notwithstanding. Double stack, single feed. They probably came into Canada as high-capacity, because they have been blocked to 10 shots by a variety of home-brewed methods.

Maybe the most striking thing is that they are wide for a sheet metal magazine. The bodies won’t even enter the mag wells of my P226, CZ-75, or Hi-Power, due to width. They actually look very much like the pre-B CZ-75 mags they came with, with the single witness hole low on the right and 2 holes middle and high on the left. The most marked visual cue they are different is the way the flats on the magazine sides are recessed slightly compared to the front and back of the magazine.

Are these familiar to anybody?
