Hello all, I joined up when I came across the site while looking for help with a 1957 Husqvarna Vapenfabriks AB .308. It was given to me by a friend as he knows nothing about guns and this one is in rough shape. Somewhere along the line the barrel was hacked off and the stock is split through the comb. The action is still smooth and the trigger is very crisp.
I am looking for the best way to remove the rust, re-blue it and a place to get a new barrel and stock. Since it needs such a major repair I am ok with a synthetic stock. I realize that this could get costly for an old rifle but I am in no rush and I plan to pick away at it and make it a labour of love.
I appreciate all and any help.
