Looking for high adhesion shake & bake powders

I was really impressed, compared to powders I have used before. The red did seem to go on a little thicker than the green

I see that Emerald suggests using a chrome or silver base coat with the Jollipop powders. Do you do that or is the bare bullet close enough to silver/chrome that it's not needed? I would prefer to avoid having to double coat.

The silver/gray of the bullet is just fine.
I only single coat.
