Looking for ideas on how to carry a rifle on a mountain bike

in BC's hunting synopsis page 18 (22 pdf file):
You should also know it’s unlawful:
...
to discharge, carry or have in possession
a firearm containing live ammunition in
its breech or in its magazine attached to
the firearm, in or on a railway car, motor
vehicle, sleigh, aircraft, bicycle or other
conveyance.

so you can't have the rifle loaded while riding and you can't fire it while in contact with the bike.

Daypack is in the basket behind the seat, three cartridges in my right hand pocket.

You're right. Deer and moose aren't quite sure what they're seeing.

It's quiet and runs on beer and taco chips.
