Got a really old shotgun and was wondering if I could get any info on this bad boy?

Thanks for any help in this matter.

Belgian made, late 1800's (1850/60'ish) to the early 1900's.

Can't tell from your pics but many had Damascus barrels - if so you want to keep modern shotgun shells out of the chambers.

During that time period the market was flooded with Belgian made arms. I have a late 1860's Belgian made Pieper falling block. Looks cool but is worth squat. Most of the arms they shipped were the stuff you bought at Sears for a few bucks if you couldn't afford a "real" name brand.

If memory serves me correct, I believe it was called the "interchangeable" because parts weren't hand fit and supposedly parts could interchange from one gun to another, just like production made guns today. If you plan on shooting this, have the barrels checked out first to be sure they are safe. It may also have short chambers. Even if safe, I assume you know that you cannot fire modern off the shelf ammo through this unless it is something like Kent Game Bore or maybe Winchester low noise, low recoil shells.
