I have a pair of Canadian riding breeches marked with the C broad arrow mark.
They are khaki wool with two hip pockets and a small pocket on front of the right thigh. The legs have light brown laces. Inside the pocket I discovered (along with old straw) a coarse cotton fabric swatch with the size of the breeches on it.
Are these post WW2? How much would they be worth?

I don't know myself, but if you don't get an answer here, you might want to ask John Thorne, Karkee Web Site owner, in the VIP Interviews (click here)http://www.milsurps.com/vbinterviews.php area of the Milsurp Knowledge Library.

He's one of our Advisory Panel members and an expert collector of web gear who is handling questions about British and Empire equipment and accouterments.

It sounds like if anyone would know, it would be his area of expertise .. ;)

Regards,
Doug
