Looking for info on my Hungarian 1952 Mosin Carbine

Hello my fellow gun nutz community,
I've recently got into milsurps and have been loving the entire process of acquiring, cleaning and shooting them. I now have a 1952 Hungarian Mosin Carbine with side folding bayonet that I do not know much about. Does anyone know about their history, value or manufacture etc? Google doesn't say much and whatever is available in the form of information has no way of proving being credible. Thanks for your input! Cheers
 
Dont know a ton about mine but it seems to be built much better then the russian carbine i had. It also has had no issues hitting a head sized target from 0-200m and usually at 300 with surplus ammo. Never misses on a fig 11 target at 300. So if your barrel is good all i can say is you will probably enjoy it! Mine shoots a little high until i get to 300m.
 
An all matching Hungarian will have the #2 stamped on most of it's parts. A lot went to the NVA in 91/30 sniper version for their communist aid pkg. as well as Arab countries and Angola.
 
That is very interesting. Thank you all for the replies. It is an all matching and has the #2 stamp on several parts but mainly visible on the stock. I'll keep researching. Cheers
 
They were used in some numbers during the 1956 Uprising, as mentioned the Arabs got them (you can find rifles with some kind of numeral on the butt stock) and they sometimes pop up with wood that clearly has seen significant wet weather likely from East Asia or Africa. All examples I've handled seem well made, maybe not the level of a Pole but certainly no worse than a wartime Soviet rifle.

Funny, the same thing happened to me, only it was Baron Sport. When I contacted them about not sending me what I actually ordered, they basically said they were all the same from the different countries. Then why specifically state a country if they were not sure? They offered a refund but I just kept it.
