Looking for info on Remington Ball .30 M-2 ammo

I recently came into some Winchester Ball .30 M-2 ammo for the M1 Garand. It's from 1942 and I was wondering if it's worth shooting or worth selling or just holding on to?

Sorry put Remington in the title when it's actually Winchester ammo.

As M2 ball it will be perfect for your Garand. As wartime M2 in colourful cardboard boxes, it is in another class of ammo. The condition of the boxes suddenly is much more important than the contents. Those boxes look pretty beaten up.

New boring M2 equivalent from Winchester or Remington or Federal is going to be about $35 a box or $1.75 a shot. This stuff out of the boxes will be about that much too. In the boxes, maybe $2 or $2.50 apiece.

maple_leaf_eh: I got the ammo for $25 a box which is about the going rate for PPU 30-06 150gr for M1 Garand.
