Sooo I picked up a Savage model 1899 in 303 savage with a bunch of ammo , Its in pretty good shape Id say better than most for the year (1914) but I have never seen this sight combination , It has the Lyman tang sight that looks period correct and a No 15 adjustable wind guage rear sight . The kicker is the front sight , its a Lyman Beech . They all look period correct . I have seen the Beech sight on presentation rifles but never a carbine (19 inch). I am a winchester collector , I dont know much about Savages . I will probably be selling this rifle so any info would be nice , thanks in advance.
