Opps posted this in the wrong forum before so here it is again in the correct spot haha.

Anyone here have any idea where I could get my hands on a Matching K98 Mauser in Canada? I currently have a non matching non RC one right now. Would love to get another.

To my limited knowledge your best bet would be to apply in EE (equipment exchange) in the forum and post a WTB (want to buy) ad in the milsurp section there and if you are lucky someone may be looking to part with theirs. But store wise I don't think anystore at least out of the list above the forum are holding any. Another bet would be to drive out to the gun shows and try your luck there sure most shows the prices our to high but like I said before sometimes you get lucky.

when you go on the main index scroll down to the Equipement exchange and right under the title it says (Click Here to Apply for Access to Equipment Exchange Forums)

so click on it :) you may get lucky i think i saw a few k98's floating around for sale there in the milsurp section of EE

The last matching, non RCs, Kar98ks I saw sold for $1500-1800 at P&S and they were gone within a few days of posting.

So I have heard. I've checked P&S a few times but haven't seen anything. Its fine, im expecting to pay around that much anyways. I have the coin set aside for it ;)

As I recall, the two nice ones were $1850 and the one someone had carved their name into the stock on was $1600.

I know because I tried (unsuccessfully) to buy all three of them ;) The first two because someone beat me by a few minutes and the carved one because I wasn't willing to go over $1500 and someone was willing to pay the full $1600.

I suspect next time JP will charge slightly more given how fast those three went.

And the vicious cycle continues...
 
Collectable guns like that are going exponentially higher in price year over year. Jumping in is hard but financially rewarding in the long run. They just arent available anymore.
 
Networking is probably your best bet. They don't often appear on the EE, and they are pretty rare at shows but you may find some dealers/collectors selling them if you ask around enough.

There's a large demand for nice K98's lately, I'm starting to think importing from the U.S. is becoming a more reasonable option.
