Does anyone have a Canadian source for "Lemishine"? I have a pile of swaged .224 bullets that need cleaning and this product is often mensioned when cleaning brass and bullets. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

I've been advised to use it WITH Lemishine!!!!!

I don't know who told you that, but don't do it! It was a rhetorical question, Lemi-shine is citric acid.
Using both or too much of one will leach zinc from your brass and turn it pink.
Technically, you could use both since they are the same thing, but you have to use such a small amount of either that that it would be hard to not use too much of each.
You use about 3/4 of a 9mm brass case full for a gallon.
The dish soap does the clesaning. The Lemi does two things...first softens the water which allows the soap to work better and of course it is what gives the shine to the brass, but it takes very little.
Here's an example

Right on the money. Ya beat me to it.

I gave you a link to get it online. They deliver no need to go looking for it.

I swear I just saw a thread on this a couple of days ago. Oh well.

Just FYI, your local Walmart may/may not have the Lemishine product itself, but they usually have a very similar product. The name escapes me right now but it is in the isle with the auto dishwashing products. It is more expensive than CTs normal price for Lemishine but otherwise does the same thing.

As mentioned above, Home Hardware has their Lemishine alternative, but it isn't in stock at all stores either. Some Home Depot stores sell "citric acid" which is the same thing. You can also often find citric acid at better-stocked health food stores.

Citric Acid is the 'sour' of Kool-Aid unsweetened crystals. Lemonade flavour has about the least objectionable dye in it if you find yourself in a bind.

IIRC it is sold as Sour Salt in the Kosher Foods area of the grocery store too. More money.

The cheapest I have found Citric Acid Crystals is at the U-Brew stores, though. Under $10 for a kilogram bag of the stuff.

A tablespoon added to the dishwasher will clean it out pretty well. Unless she objects to the flavour anyways! :D

A couple tablespoons into a pot of hot water strips grimy corrosion off of old brass or copper in pretty quick time. If the surface colour changes, a bit of a go with metal polish will sort it out in a hurry.

Okay, so now I have citric acid, bought at the local drug store, LemiShine, bought at CTC and Dawn dish soap, bought at WalMart.
Can I use a vibrator instead of a tumbler? I have a large Dillon vibrator. I want to clean the oxides left behind from annealing .22 LR brass.
I have some bullets already made and some jackets with the cores seated.
Thanks again,
Mike
