looking for m 14 20/5 mags

Well sir, I would suggest purchasing only older Norinco M14 magazines or USGI magazines as they don't have the pin on the side and they don't have a tac-weld on the floor plates and they are not painted and they do not have a cheap-*** painted floor plate. It doesn't matter at what price you buy these new magazines, they are not worthy. The new magazines are to me simply sick and should not be sold (I am not sure how folks put up with them). Buy the old stuff, they are more true to original and they are worthy of the tradition that is the M14. Why do we have to put up with this such low quality? It's insulting. To all you guys with real Norc mags and real USGI mags: keep it secret, keep it safe. Tonight my Uncle died, I will go and shoot a 20 gun salute to him with 4 x original Norinco magazines and that is insulting enough, but at least I won't have to **** with non-sense. God bless you all.

Shhh...I won't tell.

Tell you another secret though. Bought these 5/20's at Marstar last year. They were not pinned, some kinda metal insert. One actually, kinda fell out.

I removed one. Now I gotta 20 rounder. Dumb thing is, I hate heating up the barrel, so I only use the 5/20's and 5/5's.

Go figure, the jokes on me!!! :D :runaway:

Please ... :jerkit:

Ive been using new manufactured Norc 5/20 magazines for a while now and believe it or not , they are not painted as you would like to believe and mine i get are NOT tack welded .. i think i have one that is tack welded and that was taken care of with a dremel in 5 seconds ..

They feed , function flawless . and have 13 spot welds up the front with 5 or 6 spot welds on the magazine tab ..

Take a look at REAL usgi magazines , not the ####ing knock off #### thats all over gunbroker , real BWS usgi magazines usually have 13 spot welds and 5 spot welds on the mag tab ... its as close as your going to get with our pathetic ####ing laws ..

Or you can go spend 70+ dollars on a single USGI magazine and sleep better at night knowing you dont have to use "chinese crap " ...

Wanstalls also has 5/20 mags. They are Thermold Polly and are $30 a piece. I have used Wanstalls on a regular basis and are great to deal with. I usually have product in hand in a few days, I'm in Alberta only a province away.

no big deal- just load 5 casings, measure to the bottom of the mag, cut off a rod a little shorter so you can put the floorplate back on, pop rivet through the end of the hole in the floorplate- presto- you're back to 5 rounds- the only part you need to be careful of is the length of rod- you want 5, not 6 or 4- you get the "hang" of this when you 've got close to 100 = 1 in each gun, 6 in each drag bag, 6 in big alice, 2 in each pouch, and another 20 in your fannypac- in nam, they carried 5 on the lbe( 2 in each pouch , 1 in the gun) and 6 in big alice- minimum
