Looking for M14 (Norinco works) - Pref new.

of course, there will always be those people who buy on speculation( looking to make at least double their money) and those that shouldn't have bought a m305 in the first place- so there'll always be some around, depending on how desperate you are- plus the "modded" ones - intresting thought- what about getting a bunch of receivers and bringing in those c/as as parts kits ( ie less the receiver) that marstar has stowed overseas- such as 45acpking has done?
failing that, start writing your mp to get the m14 changed to UNRESTRICTED STATUS- there is no LOGICAL reason for it to be a PROHIBITED WEAPON
this was decided by oic by the liberals- overnight we became criminals by no devices of our own making- one night, it as just a rifle in your safe- the next, it was an evil prohibited weapon- WITHOUT LEAVING THE SAFE- it had no "bits added " just sat there- same as your shorter than 4.1 inch pistols

yessir, the REAL m14 is a prohib as of about oct 92 via oic - it was along with moving all our short barreled pistold to prohibs and moving the ar15 to restricted status- now before you get all crazy, the MAJORITY of the people around here refer to the NORC as an m14, but it's an m14S , and not a REAL M14- which were made in the usa by only 4 companies: SPRINGFIELD( THE GOVERNMENT ARMORY, NOT THE COMPANY OF THE SAME NAME) WINCHESTER. TRW AND HARRINGTON RICHARDSON- these units were manufactured back in the 60's , put into storage when the m16 was issued-
these were then seconded to the isrealis, who picked the best for sniper rifles, and disassembled the rest for parts. the isrealis( somewhere in the late 80's early 90's) then sold these rifles to canadian distributors, who had some minor operations done on them to ensure they would NOT fire full auto under any circumstances( to please the customs and the cfc- they couldn't appreciate you still needed the "kit" to make it select fire) and then these rifles went to retail- then some idiot over at the cfc or somewhere saw that the batf in the states listed the 14 as a MACHINE GUN and decided that these were CONVERTED AUTOS- which they AREN'T , NEVER WERE, AND NEVER CAN BE- that's how we got PROHIBITED status on the 14- VERY FEW PEOPLE ON THIS BOARD have them, and the norc is not mentioned in the prohib order, nor is smith, the springfield m1a, and there's a bunch of others

I'm with aka-jdud, norinco should be spelled crap.

Shhhh! Be very, very quiet! Those of us who have had Norcs disappoint us are apparently blasphemers, and are due to be flogged for heresy if we keep stating facts about the chicom stuff! :runaway:

(I just got raped for having an opinion on the nickel plate 1911 thread).

We should form our own secret society, because we clearly aren't welcome on this forum!

;)

Of course no one who posts that he was disappointed in the quality of his Norinco has ever been flamed on this or any other board that I have seen. Instead someone gets a Norinco, doesn't like it, then posts that Norincos are crap. Any wonder that there is a negative reaction to that statement?

it;s kind of like saying that all motorcyclists are biker gang dudes- just b/c a FEW guns have poor q/c doesn't mean they all do- i've got 1 of the ORIGINIAL NORCS( the one with the supposed headspace problem) and guess what IT DOESN'T- same deal with my m93 woodsman- no problems-

norc m1a's are a dime a dozen, lots moving in the ee. with a little looking you will find what you are looking for. m1a's are fantastic rifles, whether it be norc or springer

And YES you are right, this is the last container load....

So marstar wont be selling the norinco M14/M1A's after this?!? :(
Is this due to norinco slowing production or some other reason?
(I'm still in university, and blew a ton of money this summer on an sti edge)

*sigh* I wanted one as my first rifle!!
Yikes, so there's going to be 10 rifles remaining and that's all?? :(

Find a Norc M14s at a dealer call him (or visit) & pay for the Norc, they'll hold it for you until you get your license and paperwork all in order. Then you can pick it up or have it shipped when you're ready and you won't miss out on a great deal. Then go to one of Hungry's M 14 Clinics :dancingbanana:

Wish I could do that, but I'm a uni student as well.

Can't make any certain decisions until I find out how my marks turn out this year and how much I can afford to spend. If anything at all. >.<

Most everyone I know has dropped at least 1 course and will be paying extra $700 + for each course to retake. Gah can you believe the cost of tuition these days.
