I recently bought a Marstar deluxe see through scope mount. I am having problems with the ejected casings hitting the mount giving me a wondering zero and the occasional case being unable to clear out and jamming between the mount and bolt. Can you guys give me your suggestions on different scope mounts?

I've got a Smith #7 on mine. All I can say is wow what a solid rig! It fits like a glove and provides a clear line of sight down the irons if you want to use them as a backup or quick target aquisition. I tried a Marstar first it was, in my opinion, a waste of money. You get what you pay for.

So what's the general recommendation? The 2024 or the 2006 mount? Both look to be priced about the same. According th the Brownell's website, the 1913 rail will accept weaver rings as well.

There are not too many differences between the 2024 and the 2006. As for weaver vs. picatinny 1913 - it is all personal preference. The cross bolts of picatinny 1913 rings are wider than weaver style rings, which are typically narrower. So weaver rings will fit 1913, but not the other way.

I had both, I ended up keeping the 2006, mainly because I had picatinny rings.

Plus I had no issues ordering from Sonia @ SEI

Brownells have the smith 2024 for $225 US and will ship to Canada with know problems.

I got shot down hard from Brownells about 2 months ago, they said I need some import permits which takes about 4-6 week to acquire unless you already had this permit.

SEI will ship to Canada no problem & no hassle.

Hey Airborn 69 , I ordered mine from Brownells on June 6 and had it in my hands two weeks later. It seems has though not everybody there is on the same page, as to whether or not they can ship m14 mounts to Canada.
