I am looking for a wood stock for my mavrick 88, and I am told mossberg 500 bolts right up), please tell me otherwise if it does not.
I am aware that there are people who bash the mavrick but it is a decent budget shotgun and I like it, so I would like to trade out the sythetic for a pepper laminated or possibly traditional wood stock If anyone knows where I might be able to find something that would work in Canada or U.S. (but ships to Canada)

please feel free to shoot your suggestions my way

thanks guys and gals your always a help

The buttstock should bolt up, but I'm not sure about the fore-end. I seem to recall hearing something about the action bar (or bars if its a newer one) being pinned directly to the plastic fore-end. If you contact Havlinsales.com, they will know for sure if there is something available. They also ship to Canada last time I checked (its been a while though).

I have a Mossberg 500 and Maverick 88.

Workin Man is correct.

The butt stocks are interchangable however the 88's fore-end is as described, the action bars are pinned into the plastic fore-end, so the 500's fore-ends do not fit.

The only way to remedy this is to buy Mossberg 500 action bars and the fore-grip tube and nut, but at the price you would be better off buying a Mossberg 500.

And if you still want that wood furniture kit there is one on sale in the EE.......;)
