Looking for my first Revolver

You're right bydabeav, I haven't fired many handguns as a whole, and it would be great to get to test a bunch and find out which I like best.

I'm currently searching for gun clubs in my area to join so wish me luck in finding some of those friendlies with lots of revolvers :)

Take your time and make sure you know how much you want to shoot because unless you load the ammo can exceed the cost of the gun many times over.. good luck

Cant go wrong with a .357 as a first revolver. If you don't like the snappy recoil of the full house .357 Mag round you can always shoot .38 specials. Although with a 686 there should be enough weight to tame the recoil from those magnum rounds.

I, on the other hand, started out with a S&W model 29, 44 magnum, it was my first revolver but was not my first handgun. Go big or Go home. LOL.

Enjoy your new gun, I'm sure that you will soon develop a love for wheel guns.
