Looking for new Case Tumbler..

I'd like to buy a new tumbler and considering this one from Wholesale...

Any thoughts, suggestions?
Any board sponsors I could buy from, depending on cost of shipping, seeing as WS is just up the road from me..

Don't buy either.

While the tumblers you have mentioned are probably very good and work well, the INDUSTRY STANDARD is the Dillon tumbler.
Don't buy any else. Dillon has the biggest and BEST tumbler on the market, and they also have a smaller version too.
Just for example, I can tumble with the right media, over 1200 9mm cases, or 1000 38special cases, or 900 40S&W cases, in about 2 hours. The Dillon case separater does the next job and voila, cases to load.
Reloaders who own Dillon products buy Dillon stuff. Dillon is that good....

dont buy any of the mentioned. buy a stainless steel cleaner. somebody has a link kicken around for the site. its more money but from what i hear and have seen its worth it.
 
There's nothing wrong with the Lyman tumblers.

If I were you, I'd go with the Turbo 1200 with Auto-Flo kit. It works great, and to separate the media from the cases, all you have to do is place the (supplied) bowl under the rubber plug, then just pull the rubber plug. Of course, the tumbler has to be on for this to work.

I have the Turbo 1200 with Auto-Flo kit and it's worked great on all the calibres I reload.
 
Any opinions on the sonic bath type tumblers? I was at wholesale the other day and they had one for a good price. Figured it may also be useful for sonic cleaning of smaller rifle/pistol parts too.
 
I have the Lyman Turbo (auto-flo) and it works great for one or two hundred rifle cases per week. There might be other stuff that works better, but I can't conceive that I would need anything more.
 
I have the Lyman Turbo 1200 with Auto-Flo kit, works great. I also have the stainless steel set up and there is no comparision in the results, stainless is really that much better at cleaning them. Question is do you really need them that clean??? I still use both Lyman and the stainless, just depends on what I am loading and how much of it. Typically pistol brass gets the Lyman and rifle gets the stainless treatment.

This feller is a Thumbler Tumbler.

Originally developed for rock polishers. Unlike the ultra-sonic tumblers, or the vibratory tumblers, this is a rotary tumbler, just like your clothes dryer. The media and brass tumble around in the can as it rotates like a ferris wheel. Generally quieter, very long life, well built, and can really put a shine on the brass.

I think Cabelas.ca will carry them, but ordering from the states will get you one as well. You can order from Thumbler direct (I think) or pretty much any rock polishing shop. One word of note, look for the Tumbler "B" model, specifically with the "high speed motor". This can be a challenge to find, but for brass polishing it is worth it.

Note, a big advantage to this type of tumbler is the ability to use WET media. The latest trend is to use Stainless Steel media (not walnut or corn). These tiny stainless pins, in a juice of water and vinegar and other juice, make uber bright brass, in just a few hours. I believe the website that sells that kit is stainlesstumblingmedia.com or something like that, for Stainless Tumbling Media. Google it.

This are pricey, but apparently quite worth it.

Looked up the Thumbler Tumbler on Cabela Canada site.
They start at $129.99 for a small one, to $229.00 for the one you show here.
Worth consideration, for sure.

Well said. Bought myself a Lyman tumbler and the motor gave out in less than a year. It was loud and the plastic is flimsy. The build in sifter is a joke, it just doesn't work and very loud. I throwed that POS in the garbage and bought a Dillon. Much better tumbler. Since then, switched to the stainless steel media method and my Dillon is collecting dust.

This is the same one I have as well. No problems ordering from the guy and I'm very impressed with the results.

I think I mostly love that the pins clean the primer pockets so I dont have to.
