Do any of you deal in repairs on old pre WW2 pistols? Friend of mine is looking for parts for a Dreyse 1907. He's computer illiterate at his age and has asked me to locate some parts. I have a drawing and what he needs is a bolt face and firing pin spring. I did look on Internet but only thing I found is mumrich but they don't have the part. Can anyone point me in right direction? To be honest I never even saw such pistol in person before. All help appreciated.

Need part number 3. I imagine the spring number 6 can be made from something else. Could use grips top as these are home made of wood.

No problem, keep in mind the last update listed is from 2005. Might be worth emailing him. I think you will be hard pressed to find a parts list for such a gun. That said try posing on Gunboards, you never know what might show up - someone might read your post and point you in the right direction.

You can also try Bob Adams in Albuquerque NM or Wisners in the USA. Don't know if Ed Buffaloe is still alive or could even help but at least he has write up about the Dreyse on his web site. Poppert's listed a bolt head on their web site years ago.

BTW I'm looking for a prewar Melior in 7.65mm if you happen to come across one. Woud have to be a dewat or at least inexpensive. THX.

Just a thought;

If this pistol is 12.6 it's probably cheaper and easier to just buy a second parts gun.

I can't imagine these pistols are worth very much if they are prohib? I assume he obviously is licensed to buy them.

I had thought of that as well and searched the 12.6 EE as I thought I had seen one there awhile back. Sometimes though folks get real sticky on prices for what is a low demand gun.

Possible to find stateside but that can be costly for a working pistol what with import fees etc. And since these are ownable in the U.S. prices might be even higher.

Just as mentioned. .. i can't say I have seen another one. Having said that aren't worth a lot. Maybe 100-150 but it isn't worth buying a 100 dollar gun to repair another 100 dollar gun. He does have 12.6 obviously but I don't imagine he'd spend too much on fixing it. I just like the challenge and to say I have had good luck finding old parts for him in the past. Just takes long time.

Gunparts lists the spring at $5.10US plus their $35US export fee(there's no import fee other than taxes.). No bolt heads, but they wanted $26.10US for one.
Not much point in fixing prohibited firearms. Try Western Gun Parts anyway.
