Hello ..
I have a Sako 995 chambered in a 6.5X55...
I am looking for a 1 pc. Weaver style or picatinny base that will slide over the Sako tapered receiver grooves...From my search on Weavers website they don't appear make a 1 pc. base for the Sako.....I would like to get away from using extension rings....Anybody make what I am looking for?..
I don't need a tapered 20 MOA base for long range shooting...
Thanks....:)

Dlask has made these for me in the past. He has the program for his CNC, I am sure that he can make one for you. They work. I asked for them with 20 min built in.

SakoAlberta..
.Looking at the photo of that Ken Farell mount it looks like you have to D&T the reciever...Am I right?
donp
Does the Dlask rail base require that you D&T the reciever?

Thanks for your reply but the Sako bases don't look like they would give me the flexibility that I would like for ring placment... The Near bases are running $175.00 in Brownells which I think is a little stupid for a LR rock shooter like me!

I see in Brownells that Warne makes a base for the Sako TRG but it looks like the receiver needs to be D&T which at $20.00/hole brings them up about $180.00 installed! :(

Thanks to all of you for your replies :)

The Near base is $175 and the alphamount is $325, all of that doesn't include shipping or tax either, not so cheap. I got the Sako 3 ring optilock for $500, and it works well for my application (338 Lapua) That being said, if it is for a smaller caliber, why not just get the regular sako optilock? they should stand up fine....

Not sure if this works but the price is right if it could.

Dlask

No the rail doesn't require d&t. He built it to slide onto the sako mounts. There is a single set screw that just takes up the slack. I have these on both of my 338 lapua's and they have never moved.

It looks like you might be better off replacing the scope to fit the rings...

Well I hit a dead end on finding the "slide on one piece Weaver style base" that I wanted so I ended up taking your advice guntech and ordered another scope that gives me the eye releif I want with out the ext. ring...

Donp...
I called Dlask and he said that he had a hard time selling the ones he made and that he was out of them and had no plans to make some more anytime soon...Thanks for the lead anyway..

Dave42...
I e-mailed the outfitted you posted and yes they do make a base for Sakos but you need to D&T the receiver...I didn't want to do that...I might add if I ever need a picatinny style base that is the place I would go to!...Their prices arer great compared to all the rest that I checked out..

Thanks to all for your replies...:)
