So I'm considering purchasing a alpha project .357 mag revolver was wondering what people's experience/ opinions are towards alpha project. From what I've seen so far they seem to be a decent quality for the price range just wondering how they hold up and if people feel they are worth the price tag

Firstly, it is "Alfa proj" not "Alpha Project" 
I had a 4.5" in 9mm for a while before selling it on. It struck me as a decent gun built to a price. Mine was reliable enough (although I probably didn't put 500 rounds through it before selling it) but not particularly well finished. When they were around $500 I think they represented excellent value....at $600-700+ still OK but no great steal. If you were specifically after a 9mm revolver I'd say go for it but in .357 a good used Ruger or Smith for the same money would be my choice. OTOH some members here have had their Alfa for awhile and are quite positive on them
Some people confuse the company as being an arm of CZ but that is untrue. They started in the 90's making handcuffs and starter pistols before getting into firearms.

We have owned the 9mm for about a month now and it is a fun gun for the money we paid. If we had been looking at a .357 I would have undoubtedly gone with a used S&W or a Ruger. If you want to try out the 9mm let me know, I see you are local
Ok so let's put this out there as well to give you all some background as to why I'm looking at a alpha 357 mag. I currently have a dog p250 9mm that I can't stand the trigger on and can't seem to get anything half decent for a offer to get rid of it but went to one of the local gun shops and they have offered me $400 store credit for it which would mean for another 3-400 I can get a alpha or something in the $700 range that they have for sale. What would you do in this situatioon

it's nicely made, no complaints about quality.
only discomfort I have with with the grip, in my hand looks like the trigger is too close to the grips, maybe designed for smaller hands in mind.
other than that, no issues.

I shot someone's 9mm at the range a little while back. This might have been one of the first gens that came into Canada so take this with a grain of salt. The trigger was a little gritty and I had one issue where the DA trigger locked up on me, had to #### the hammer and shoot it in SA before it let me shoot DA the next round. Accuracy was good but then again, I was only shooting at 10yrds.
I've got one in 357. About 1000 rounds through it. Nothing overwhelmingly great or bad about the gun. It's solid. Single action trigger is much better than DA, not surprising. I put wood grips on it which makes it much nicer to shoot but the issue plastic grips are fine. You could do worse.
