Anyone know where I could get some pistol powder. Looking to load some .40 S&W.

Looking to either buy locally in the Winnipeg, MB area either from a retailer or private sale. I don't mind driving a bit for it too. Or if anyone knows of an online source, I'd be interested in that too.

Thais for your help everyone.

For a long time now, you need to look Canada wide and everyday! Because as soon as it comes in it's gone. One thing you can do is to put your name on a waiting list with several dealers who have one and just wait it out, like most of us do. They keep promising it will get better, still waiting ! :(

I was in Jo Brook firearms in Brandon the other day for some BL-C2 rifle powder and I was happy to see that had not a bad selection. I think things are starting to improve. Sticker shock is an isssue for me though. with the low Canadian dollar some of this new stock is over 40 dollars a pound, scary.

It's really tough right now to find some, you may try your local club or a WTB add for your area in case someone has a pond or two to help you out

I found some Win 231 at P&D in Edmonton yesterday. Literally the first Win 231 I have seen in at least 2 years. Bought 2 pounds only, don't want to be a powder hoarding jerk. If more bought for their immediate needs, we would not have this lack of supply right now.

Sometimes checking the smaller places helps too. I just checked on of the local shops in my area and they HAD 4 lbs of win231.
Now I have 4 lbs ;)

I see that Rusty Wood Trading Co is now carrying Nobel Sport VECTAN pistol powders.
Load data might be a challenge to find.
In appearance, the powders remind me of the long defunct Alcan powders like AL 5 and AL 8.
