As the title says I'm looking for sources for powder coating powder and what results you've had with them as I am looking to start do up some my self. I know about Powder 365/Emerald but so far they are the only source I have found in Canada. Anyone have any favourites they like using?

Thanks

You should go to the bullet casting section. We have a PC sticky there.

I think emerald/365 is the only gig in town that will sell small quantities at reasonable prices. We can try a group buy for 55 lb

Thanks Yomomma, I actually found that after posting this and went through it, and it's still coming up with just 365 as an option, not that that's a bad thing but I was wondering if there was another option.

I emailed erie as well, but those prices are high. I emailed a few more and hope to get some info next week.

I guess we are stuck with emerals for now.

I went to a local powder coating outfit and they graciously let me have a bag of their leftovers. By leftovers I mean every container they use always has a bit left in the bottom. Not much but they don't like to waste anything and they did try to persuade a couple of customers to give the swirl patterns they created a try on their products. Didn't seem to appeal to anyone so they had saved up about 5# which they sold to me at a very decent price. Much cheaper than I could have purchased the same amount for from Emerald. I would not say this is a reliable source but it is a good place to start and they may even be willing to sell me some of their powder from one of their containers at their price or slightly more.

Emerald are good to deal with though and are quick to respond to an email order.
