Morning fellow gun nutz, I am looking to get some idea of what a real world value is on my Remington 7400 enhanced in 243 Winchester might be?!? From my googling there dosent appear to be manny of them out there. There is a safe kiss on the bottom of the forend and some handling marks in the magwell. Other then that it is in good shape. It dose have the Monte Carlo stock and the engraving on the recover. I took it on trade and since have not shot it. The previous owner was the first and he had only put 20 rounds down range.

Any help will be appreciated in trying to get a basic value of this critter.

I had one engraved and one plain in 243 .Kept the plain and sold the engraved on the EE for 650 Shipped and mine had no marks in excellent condition
Not rare just something they did a few years 96 to 2005 on many. I think mine may have had the rams on the 243 and maybe a bear on the 3006 I cannot recall
Take care

Receiver panels of the Model 7400 were embellished with pressure applied fine-line engraving in 1996. A game scene with a pair of rams is on the right receiver panel and the left panel scene had two elk. It was first noted as “new enhanced receiver engraving” and is still in the line to the end of 7400 production.

I bought a mint 742 plain, 2mags, original scope, about a year ago, that has seen about the same amount of use to the door, hard case, $700. Felt I paid up due to the gun didn't have a mark anywhere. Now I cringe a little every time I take it out knowing I will eventually take the pristine off it.
