Looking for reviews on Marlin 60ss

Mine's great. Eats pretty much whatever bulk ammo I feed it and hasn't had a single jam yet in 250+ rounds through it of various brands.

It was great right out of the box and if you put some decent optics on it then it's even better.

The optics I have are low end stuff, but are good enough for my purpose.

What else can I say.

How is the accuracy with the 19" barrel?

How is the accuracy with the 19" barrel?

Probably not as good as a heavy target barrel, but Marlin's barrels and "Micro-Groove" rifling are very good.

If I can find the targets I shot several weeks ago at 50 yds. I will post them.

Some people have complained about Remington's influence on quality since they acquired Marlin. I can't comment on this since my 60SS was made in New Haven, CT which is the Marlin plant.

Only complaint I would have is that the tube fed mag was a hassle for me.

Getting on and off the quad on the trails hunting grouse or squirrels was a huge pain in the ass, and I found my single shot a better option. No unloading/loading to worry about.

Had two 60s, blued version.

Reliability, 100% with bulk Winchester Dynapoints or high velocity Xperts.

Accuracy, on a good day, both could shoot almost as well as my Savage MkIIF and CZ452s at 100 meters, 1.5 +/- inch 5-shot groups. Dime-sized 25 meter groups are easy all day.

That kind of performance is outstanding for a cheap semi-auto.
