Does anyone know where to find 17hmr 10 round clips in Alberta. Everywhere I look on the interweb they don't ship to Canada or out of stock.

Called my favourite gun store ever. Guns and games in stettler ab. Love those guys. Ordered 3 clips. I have 3 5 round clips but just not enough when gophers are around :)

I bought one for my Savage on account of spending too much time loading while the gophers are thick. I'm glad I only bought one as the frigging thing gets stuck in the rifle and it takes two people to get it out! haven't looked too deeply into the problem yet. But I'm glad I didn't get a bunch, instead of the one to try. Might just be a one mag problem but i'm just throwing it out there.

Just recently bought my savage model 93 17 hmr with the thumb hole stock. Loving it so far. Only tried 2 types of rounds threw it federals and hornadys. Federals were cheaper but i found that they misfired. 1 out of a 100 rounds misfired. Hornadys were fine. Hornadys did more damage but were 5$ more a box of 50. What's everyone using?

I used to use alot of federal tnt because they were cheaper at cabelas. I use hornady 17gr vmax mostly now because it is more accurate in my cz (not by much) and I get a good deal from my lgs.

Buddy's savage needed a real good cleaning the first time to function properly. V- max any brand will shoot lights out!!
If your looking to get 2 for 1's with the gophers, use TNT's or the 20 grain ones.

I got my mags from cabelas.ca

Also as far as ammo pricing where are you located?i found a place near me that hat it priced really low, but I haven't been in to check it out yet. So far I just use hornady 17gr.

Oh I cleaned her out good. Put 5 rounds threw it and cleaned it again. Shot the rest of the day. About 100 rounds then cleaned it again that night. I have yet to try the TNT s. I will try a couple of boxes. Man I'm loving this little gun. Whacking gophers hard at 150 yards. Very sweet
