Looking for Savage Lightweight 11/111 308 info

Any of these guns kicking around any dealers or private sales. I have been looking on some websites but none are listed. I had one last year and I kick myself for selling it. does anyone else on here use them?

You are looking for a Savage Model 11. The Model 111 has a long action receiver.

I will check my LGS for you.

There is no such thing as a Model 11/111... It is either an 11, which denotes a short action or it's a 111, which denotes a long action...

I will make a couple calls to see if it is available locally.

Correct, the way most retailers advertise them makes it confusing.... The listings usually say "Savage 11/111", but when you see the rifles listed underneath, they are either one or the other based on action size...
 
I just talked to the LGS.... they don't stock that model but said they have a Savage order shipping in two weeks and can add it to the order. So that is an option if you can't find it anywhere. This LGS has reasonable prices and will ship.
 
Epps has some in 7mm-08 not sure if they have any in 308 though. He has them listed for over $1200 now that's like almost 400 more than last years price
 
One of the big box places had them on line on sale recently. Cabelas or Wholesale can't remember which might have been just 7-08 though. Correct get ready to dig deep on new models of anything starting about now due to the Canadian Peso.
