Hello,
Can anyone help me on this?

I have a Rem 700 SPS varmint in .308 with a 1:12 twist and 26" long

I have heard the "magic load" from 0 to 300 meters can be made with

Sierra .308 dia. 168 gr. HPBT MatchKing Bullets

The question is where can I get the best price(or sells them) / on sierra bullets in the Montreal / Ottawa area and how much per 100?

My last resort would be to pay shipping but I Would rather not

Thanks for any help

Try mysticplayer on this site, his prices are quite good and his shipping rates aren't bad at all.
Also try Msg.Drew I think he has some 168gr. SMK's, not sure about his shipping rates.

Tough to get any Sierra bullets here in Canada as of late. Local dealer keeps telling me they can't get Sierra orders to come in. I keep calling and get the same answer. US stocks have dried up as well due to stockpiling down there I would imagine. I shoot about 1000 rounds/year of 22 cal 50 grain Sierra Blitz with my 222 Rem. My stash has been exhausted ... and the gophers have become active! Might be time to work up a new load with a Hornady product.

Yes, the local stores have literally no stock of .224 bullets. I shoot a .222 and .223 and have gotten great results in the .222 with the 55 FMJs i used to shoot in my .223. Since found that the 69 gr . Sierra Match bullets were excellent in my .223...shot a 3 bullet hole .182" first time at 100 yards.( a friend lent me 3 bullets to try) But alas none found locally....BUMMER......

I've resorted to buying online from the States....got a buddy coming up in June with my box of 500 Sierra 50 gr BlitzKings in .224......and that took me long enough to find.

Sierra 168 HPBTs will make a first-rate load for shooting 0-600 yards in your rifle. They are an easy bullet to get to shoot well.

Sierras tend to be hard to find in Canada, it seems very few dealers import them, even in normal times.

If you can't find the Sierra 168s, you can also get first-rate performance from a Berger "155 BT", a Berger "155.5 Fullbore", Hornady 168 HPBT, a Lapua 167, etc.
