Hey I just received my new Trijicon sights for my sig 226. I contacted a local gunsmith and they will install it for me but they'll use a punch. Umm no thanks. Ive tried to find a sight tool but most are in the US and wont ship to Canada. I found 1 up here but they want 3 times the price? Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

This is the one I bought and used, I just had to make some custom spacers to fit the slide of the sig226. There is a trick to using the tool so it doesn't get bent out of shape.

Be sure to use a vice to mount the tool and something to soft so the slide doesn't get scratched. When pushing the sight, push the sight towards the stationary block. You may need to take apart the top section with the pusher in order to flip it in order to always push your sights towards the stationary block. If you don't, the adjustment block screw will get bent. Trust me! I know from first hand experience. I have bent one tool and had to buy another and I have scratched my slide. Don't make the same mistakes I did. A laser bore sight helps a lot as well, got mine from Canadian Tire.

SIG rear sight no problem, but with the front you best use the proper sight tool or else

MGW SIG tool is the best out there hands down. When installing the front sight you must slowly push and release until its fully on. If you just keep pushing you will bend the sight.

Hey ben####h,

I see you are local to me.

Here's an idea!

Shoot me a pm, I've got the MGW Sig sight tool, you are welcome to use it to R&R your Sig sights.

As mentioned above, a great tool, super easy to use and it won't bugger up slide or sights!
