I am interested in learning a bit about Cooey and its firearm's, please?

Anyone with reference titles, links, or some knowledge of the history is sure appreciated.

All I know is that it was a Canadian company originally, taken over by Winchester sometime, and they built their own models and rebadged some as well.

Is there some relationship to CIL firearms at anytime?
Did they ever make centerfire rifles?
Are they associated with the factory that still makes the Savage rimfires?

You might find a lot more information in the rimfire and shotgun sections of the board. Cooey was best known for cheap 22 and bird guns. I have one of each :)
I don't know more about the history than you do, really. Taken over in the 60/s70s. quality went downhill.

was taken over by Winchester in the 60's I believe and called the Winchester Cooey at least the Model 600 (originally model 60 I believe). From Coburg Ontario I am pretty sure.
