Looking for some History behind the Norinco CQ M311 series of AR's

Hello my Canadian Borthers,

Im looking to get some information around the Norinco M311 AR-15s. I've come into a few stock sets thanks so some of you guys over the years and I am very close to finishing my clone. But recently I've been wanting to get alot more information about the history of the rifle and I was hoping someone here would be able to share some of that knowledge. Would appreciate any new info! You can only read the Wikipedia so many times before you want to know more! Also, as I stated earlier, I am building a clone of the M311. The only issue im running into for the roll marks on the lower is the Serial Number. What are the prefixs and digit amount. Thanks guys!

Im not asking for any one serial number, I just would like to know the prefix. In my looking around online the serial prefix's appear to be "I9######X" (X being a numerical digit) But no one picture is clear enough to make it out

First 2 numbers on commercial Nork stuff generally referers to the year it was made.

There is many variations. I have had at least 5 norincos and each one was different in some way.

Yeah Iran makes/made copies of the 311 and used it as the basis for the KH2002, the Iranian M311 is used by 2nd line units and Special Forces
