Got more lead coming in the I know what to do with. I told my sources that I would buy what ever they have....they have all come through.

I would like to share my good fortune with others and at the same time not loose my sources. Maybe build a network of a group of people that help each other out

I if my reserves are fully loaded , I would offer what ever is in surplus. Price would be what ever I negotiated with my source.

I wouldn't make a nickel but would keep my suppliers.

Everybody wins.

Ive got a ton of lead, seems not many want it, which can be a good thing, most just dont have time to cast more lead then is all available, 200lbs in one run lasted me a yr and a half so far.

Id like to argue that.

Within three weeks I have 275 lbs of processed lead
245 of unsorted wheel weights
80 lbs of sorted ww
195lbs of 65lb ingots coming in on tuesday
3 sources to visit by the end of the month.

I am spending more time melting lead then I am casting bullets :)
 
I'm in the Burlington area once a month or so. When I get set up for handgun shooting (RPAL course next week, so gonna be a while), I'll probably need some lead. My rifle shooting is mostly precision/match bullets right now. Once I get into CQB, buying bullets is probably going to be costly.
 
You know folks...I was think of something along the line of a Heavy Metal Co-op not a freebie giveaway house

To function as a resource finding and sharing group, with a “Pay It Forward” ideal.

My idea of this is to share surplus resources.

So if you see 10 buckets of wheel weights and only buy eight send me an email and let me know where.

If you rescue scrap out of the garbage bin and you have more than you want, post it here for free.

If you need soft lead and have lots of tin to trade

There will also be room to let people know if you’re looking for trade/services. As an example; you have 5 buckets of wheel weights and are willing to give two buckets to a person if they smelt everything into ingots for you

I'm looking for people who are willing to give as well as take. I thank those that have already offered services.

i think I will try to get some sort of ftp site up and running where you can use a password to get in to see a list of what is offered
 
I'd be interested in some lead too. Send me a message if there is excess.

Any thoughts of some group casting? I have the Lyman 12g and 20g slug molds, 9mm Lee 6 cavity TL and normal size & lube molds, same for .45 and a double for .44. I have some old 38 molds around too. And to top it all off I have a dozen or so fishing lure/sinker molds.

edit: I have a lube a matic 2 as well with a number of inserts.
 
I really like where this is going....

Let me get a few things organized and the serious folks can pm me their names and telephone numbers or email address.

I will put up a list of everyone on the ftp site which will be a "members only" and password protected.

Maybe we can all meet up once or so during the nice weather and more often in the winter when there is less to do.
