Looking for someone with a lathe to shave a few thou off of my die (fixed)

It's a new 'build'. Why wouldn't you have the headspace corrected so the rifle ends up being within the standards rather than altering a die...?
it had the current barrel changed over to a new action so i could use the one it was on. The barrel is halfway through its life and its its more or less a fun gun i have no intention of competing with it. If shaving a few thou off of a shell holder doesn't work ill consider taking it to a gunsmith. Just starting with the cheapest option. Im just altering the shell holder for now.

Thank you craig (gnmontey) for taking the time to turn down a shell holder for me. It worked perfect and allowed me to bump the shoulders back a few thou and the cases cycle perfectly.

Thanks everyone! I have a guy local who is going to help me out. We are going to start with the shell holder and an abrasive disc, using a lathe for uniformity. The barrel came of another action and was headspaced a little bigger than it currently is, hence why my current brass won't chamber super smoothly. All of the brass i have has been fired in this barrel on the old action. Its a bolt and 6 dasher is 6mm br with the shoulder blown forward kinda like an ackley improved.

If you don't mind me asking, did the original smith use a 6mm Dashser reamer or did he just keep pushing in a 6PPC reamer until it was close?????

This is the reason I'm wondering whether or not the die is the issue. I ran into a similar issue with a rifle I saw last fall. The die was made by Redding but the chamber was a one off.

i got the rifle used so i can't say much about the reamer but everything was in spec for 6 dasher . I had no issues until the barrel changed actions. The headspace was just a few thou shorter after the swap.
