read the post.the 10.50 is what you get until he decides if you have more than 2 brain cells to rub together. bumps to 18/hr if you are ok. don't forget this is melfort sask. cost of living there shouldn't be anywhere near as bad as in the big centres

18 an hour still won't get you two brain cells, unless you're looking out east

Badger having some growing pains!

We are looking for 2 dedicated people with some gun knowledge. Computer and phone skills a must!
Our shop is near Melfort Sask

Only serious inquiries please, we are backed up as it is.

Pay is starting at $10.50 to start , after 2 weeks if you still have a job wage will grow with knowledge and abilities.

When I can take a holiday and not have to think about guns I will pay $18hr.

PAL a must

Must pass back ground search from RCMP

Throw in a 50lb box of Grayson Sausage, and I will consider the offer :)
No BG check needed:D

This job will fit someone who is ambitious, young, loves guns, doesn't have a higher education or isn't a tradesman. It is a great opportunity to prove yourself and their is a clear promise of increased wages. $18 an hour is what many trained hospital workers make and some tradesman. Albeit, it is not immediately but it is definite if you have the right skills. It is not for everyone, but some fortunate people will benefit. I applaud badger arms for posting this opportunity. For those of you considering it, jump all over it. Plus, I am sure you will get in house prices on guns, ammo & accessories. That's hundreds of dollars extra per month or a few extra dollars per hour depending on what you purchase.

$10.50 is $1.25 over the minimum wage in Saskatchewan. We're also talking about rural Saskatchewan here, where, as someone already mentioned, has a much lower cost of living. He also said he'd bump it to $18 if the right person was in the job.

We're talking about a clerical, "answer the phones" type of job. He's not hiring a Gunsmith for Christ sake. If you don't want the job, don't apply for it. A lot of people around here seem to just be looking for something to jump on and pound the #### out of. Like everyone says about the Equipment Exchange forums: If he doesn't get anyone at that price, he'll have to change his price until he does.

Someone in the area, though, will likely take him up on his offer. It may not be a huge number of people, but not everyone is fortunate enough to be working in a well paying job, or at all for that matter.

i can't believe You're all over that 10.50#an hour. that'll get you a dumpster or if You're lucky a lot in tent city. I'll hire you to be my personal assistant for that, even let you shoot my guns if you have your pal. that's minimum wage dude the temporary foreign workers won't even get out of bed for that. if that's what these guys pay their staff, they lost my business
i hear norinco pays better. wanna move to china?

I don't think you're getting the point here, for me doing something I love is the main attracting factor, getting paid for it is a bonus. I come from oil country SK, and owned a small contracting business there, where I was making between $30-100/h depending on the job. And believe me, I'd take this job over that any day, this life is not all about money.

Plus I got a wife who can make the big bucks, so I can afford to do whatever I want.

I grew up in Melfort and left there on my home grown Harley Davidson with my Gr-8 education papers in '67 to go to work in Mb. I am now slowly retiring to full stage. I would take that job, if I still lived there and I would be earning that $18. per hr by the end of the first two weeks! You beta, toot toot! I do comp and phone and know guns well. Have RPal and the back ground check should come up clean as a whistle, with my age old Full Pardon for all my wrong doings as a youngster. You could go on your holiday with no worries! Will you coax me to move back?

I would be better off living in Saskatchewan at $18 an hour then what I make here and living in North Vancouver. I retract my earlier statement. Also it would be nice to have a job I like.

Sometimes having a job that is related to a hobby you love is a bad thing. You can become tired of it. It can be a good way to ruin a hobby......not always though.

I grew up near there, you retired Ontario/BC guys should look at the prices of homes in the area and consider retiring there, even if you dont have much RRSP's now, you can sell your homes in BC and Ontario and buy a large acreage and be mortgage free!

Did anyone else look at this!?? You'd be better off making 18 dollars an hour there than 45 an hour in vancouver. Vancouver is an overprice s**t hole. The POS house I live in right now in Coquitlam, built in the 1940s, comes with original lead rimmed sink and 1940s wall paper, is worth about 650 thousand dollars! The same house in that town would be worth about 100 thousand, if that.

If you have a well paying job already then i dont see a need to trash badger arms or anyone else in this thread. The man is looking for someone to hire which will benefit all of us so give him some respect and keep all the silly comments to yourself. I know someone who lives in the area and might be interested so I'll be letting him know about the opportunity.

This thread is embarassing. I worked for 6.75 at one point in my life. Everyone starts somewhere.

Good on you Badger for growing so quickly! That says a lot about your business model and customer service. Good luck finding the right joe for the job!

I started working at about 3.45 an hour if I remember correctly.. 10.50 is a little low for me these days as I get a little more then that.. But for someone starting out it's not a bad wage and unlike most jobs there is substantial room for quick growth..
